Prevent this Tragedy
The Cons heavy Thrasher video has finally been released after a year of promos and updates via the Cons site. Although it is sponsored by Cons, some of the best parts belong to those wearing other brands on their feet. The video is pure skateboarding without any fancy editing or skits which is very rare this day in age. Only let down of this video was Anthony Poppalardo’s lack of footage(one clip). Let’s hope he is stacking his goods for the upcoming Chocolate release.
Kicking of the madness is Vegas’ own Sammy Baca. People outside of Vegas have been questioning why Reynolds turned Sammy pro before any sort of full part drop. Hopefully his rawness and speed driven assault shows exactly why the Boss lists Sammy has his favorite skater. Face smashing and all Baca delivers a tranny ripping part with the occasional street gems that gives you the sense he is just as comforatable in forign lands as he is at his home away from home Desert Breeze skate park.
Devin Appelo scum stash annd all drop on the screen next. Devin must be made of steele taking some of the drops he does. Gapping out to backside 5050 onto a roof? Yea that’s in there as well as a frontside 5050 to boot. Dude is gnar expect big things out of this creature.
David Gravette illustrates why he is the king of 5050ing hand rails. Multi kinked, curved, drinking a beer mid way, David has uncanny control while grinding these said rails.
Ethan Fowler and Raymond Molinar share a part with the best styles in the video. Raymond’s fakie frontside flip front nose was ridiculous, and Fowler’s switch frontside flip down a lengthy set makes you wonder where he has been keeping that trick locked up all these years.
Andrew Allen the switch stance tech gnar skating graces the video after Fowler and Molinar. Full of amazing skating his switch ollie over a rail into a tight squeeze hill was epic. Not making it til after he took a high speed slam via a lamp post that was defiantly one of the highlight’s of the whole vid.
Emanual Guzman the Nor-Cal’s jack of all trades keeps your eyes peeled to the screen. He has board control like he was born with a skateboard on his feet. Another atv, he defiantly is one who gets slept on for who knows what reason. All he does is put out video part after video part which usually end up one of the years best.
The oh so casual Nick Trapasso closes out the Tragedy with leisure suit and all. Effortless style and one of the better flip trick catchers out there Nick can do no wrong on a board.
After watching “Prevent thisTradgedy” I was read to hit the streets, but unfortnatly it was 2am and I was drunk as P Stone was when he fell on his face in the credits. Thrasher keep making video like this they are straight to the point no filler collections of skateboarding best that don’t drag on and on.
